ABOUT THIS COLLECTION
This Low, Clear Water Trout Fly Collection has been put together by Mike at TroutFlies Australia, based on over 50 years of fly fishing experience on Australian rivers and lakes.
These are the flies I turn to when water levels drop, clarity improves, and trout become cautious. The patterns are chosen for correct proportions, subtle presentation, and natural drift — not for flash or quick sales.
Every fly in this collection reflects real fishing conditions and real decision-making on the water.

30 Mixed Trout Flies – Sizes 14–18 A Slit Foam Fly Box
Designed for Low, Clear Water Conditions
When rivers run low and clear, trout become cautious. They see everything — splashy entries, heavy flies, poor drifts — and refuse fast.
The Low & Clear Confidence Box has been built specifically for these conditions. This is a carefully selected 30-fly mixed collection covering unweighted or lightly weighted nymphs, subtle emergers, and low-profile dry flies, designed to drift naturally and fish properly in clear water.
There are NO tungsten beads in this box. Depth is controlled through leader length and presentation, not heavy flies that spook fish.
This is not an attractor selection.
It’s a technical confidence box for pressured, educated trout.

🧵 QUALITY YOU CAN TRUST
All flies are tied to professional standards using quality hooks and materials. These are flies built to fish, not mass-produced filler.
Patterns may vary slightly depending on availability, but all substitutions are made with proven low-water patterns of equal performance.
🎯 MIKE’S TIP
Start deeper than you think, fish slower than feels right, and change position before changing flies. If you feel the need for tungsten, you’re probably fishing the wrong water.
No gimmicks.
No shortcuts.
Just flies that do the job.
